Best players in radio rock

Who do you think are the best guitar players in radio rock? Me, I'm finding more and more that Mike Mushok from Staind pulls out some cool tricks every now and again. Speak, or be damned for eternity!

Either way, I'd vote for Tremonti. Though I think John 5 is playing with Rob Zombie now and he's pretty good too.

What about all the session guys who played on a lot of 80s pop albums, like Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Alan Murphy, etc.? There were some insane players from that scene. It was kinda cool when the cheesiest pop tunes could still have some ripping guitar in the mix...

I can't think of any "great" guitar playing I've heard from new music on the radio in ages. Back in the day, I always admired Neal Geraldo's work on Pat Benatar's records, and Craig Chaquico from Jefferson Starship. They put some rippin' solos down that got played a zillion times on mainstream rock radio. Oh, and don't forget Trevor Rabin of the '80s version of Yes.
