I've had In Flames and Soilwork...

...exclusively on my playlist for weeks now. I love this shit! You guys got any other bands that are along the same lines as these two bands?

I'm half in the bag and fully intend on submersing myself in the bag before long. My plan for the night is to be as much of an asshole on HC as possible.

o.m.g.

Kane has a little shameless behaviour in the past
If you're willing to listen to In Flames, you should try Nile: Annihilation of the Wicked. 10 times more brutal, but the musicianship is superb, as is the production. I've listened to this album at least once a day since it came out on May 24th and it's still as fresh as the first day.

Hittin easynews as I speak (er...type!). Thanks! If it's not there I'll just suck it up and buy it (which I'd do anyway if I like it...for those ready to pounce on me for downloading music illegally).

I don't know how you feel about death metal, but Nile are on of the best, my personal favorite for the last few years. They have one song from the album at Relapse.net/com/whatever, but it's the simplest song on the album. It is a good intro to Nile, but doesn't really prepare you for the rest of the album.

I typically don't get into the really heavy stuff, but lately Soilwork has been in my playlist a LOT. I dunno if that qualifies as 'death metal' or not though.

Lots of US bands sound an awfull lot like IF nowadays...

Trust your ears.

In life and music, what is is but that doesn't always mean it's what it should. Change, is in our hands.

a_daft_punk is on a distinguished road
Can you guys recommend any good albums to get into these 2 bands? I've heard good things but I've no idea where to start!

Joe

P.S I've heard Rejection Role by Soilwork and loved it!

In Flames:
Colony
Reroute To Remain
Clayman

Their latest, Soundtrack To Your Escape, is a bit different but worth a listen nonetheless.

Soilwork:
I only own their latest effort, Stabbing The Drama, but it's worth it, a superb album
