These guys are a great prog/black metal band from Melbourne. I saw them live about a month ago, awesome live performance! Huge potential and originality. They have a few gigs coming up over the next few months, which I'll be going to. If you like Amon Amarth, Opeth, Dark Tranquility, Windir, etc. you'll probably like these guys, they're deffinetily worth checking out.

I'd say they are more like prog/melo-death but yeah they are awesome, wen't to their gig last saturday (been to most of their gigs actually).

Their albums available now too, it's called The Frail Tide and it's bloody good, got it their gig the other night.

Got into them through their vocalist George, who also did live vocals for Dark Earth for a while, who are a friend of a friends band, and are also totally awesome.

Not really a fan, personally. I trust you both know of Ne Obliviscaris? I can't stand them but I'm sure if you like Belakor you'd love them. Check 'em out

Ne Obliviscaris are a mess, they just have too much shit going and it doesn't blend well, if you catch my drift, sounds chaotic but not in a good way.

Their only redeeming feature is their drummer, who is obscenely quick with his feet.

Haha, my sentiments exactly! I expected to be in the minority with that one. I think I saw their first ever gig, the violin player spent five minutes gushing about how honoured they were to be opening for Alarum before the band even played a note. After thirty seconds of laughing to myself at their bass player wielding his instrument just below his chin I went and got a drink.

I didn't notice the drummer at the time, but every flyer I've seen has "featuring the winner of Australia's Fastest Feet" which seems kinda retarded. I mean, you don't become a great author by writing a book with more pages than everyone elses', so why should it matter how quick he can play? Still, dedication is dedication, I guess.

Great songs.. Only listened to two but they sound pretty sweet.. Again, still not a fan of the vocals but thats my personal opinion

btw tho.. about the fastest feet thing, That may be kinda gimmicky but chances are, if he could accomplish that.. He must be fuckin determined and can become a great all-around drummer too..

Theres this dude from Moncton NB (where I live) that used to be in a band with my dads old guitarist, and this dude just won fastest feet in the world afew months ago.. It was posted even on all those big music news websites, pretty cool that hes from a small town like this.. His name is Mike "Machine"
