![]() ![]() | Porcupine Tree I'm going to go and pick up "Porcupine Tree's" album "Deadwing" tomorrow. Listening to samples of it on amazon has me feeling so relaxed. I first noticed their name when I purchased "Ghost Rivieries(SP?) and noticed that Porcupine Tree was one of there influences. I've never listened to them before and so far they are reminding me of "Tool" only even more unique. This is some beautifule music. Check out "Open Car" from their Deadwing album. Nuff said.I always strive to listen to completely different styles and sounds of music I feel overall it will make you a much more "whole" and complete artist. Ahhhh just heard a very nice change up on that song "Open Car" where he says something about leaving the pieces wher they fell part brings goose bumps to my arms. I'd love to see this band live. These guys don't hold anything back don't do it for the money but for the art...that's the beauty of it. Ah, the suffering. The sweet suffering. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They're one of my favorite bands right now. Both Deadwing and In Absentia are good places to start. There's a new album coming out in April. They've already released a teaser. Here's a thread about it if you haven't happened to notice: Porcupine Tree "Fear of a Blank Planet" album teaser on myspace Now I lay me down to sleep Blah, blah, blah my soul to keep If I die before I wake I'll go to hell for heaven's sake |
