![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I only recently got into this guy, I've been playing the "gothic octave" ever since. It's odd though; his leads are cool and interesting but his riffs and rythyms are so generic, it's hard to believe he comes up with both. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | mmmmmmmmm, tasty Lynchisms... Before my "shred" phase, Lynch was (and still is in alot of regards) my fave, his phrasing and note choices are amazing, even if he's not blindingly fast. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think his rhythms sound like himself, it's just that a LOT of people, especially in the 80's, copped his style. Lynch is one of those guitarists that I can immediately identify after hearing only a couple bars of any song he plays on. He's amazing. :: chrisquigley.com :: Sevenstring Registry :: Share Your Music :: Share Your Patches :: Sevenstring.org MySpace chmod +ax /bin/laden |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love George Lynch. If I could get his old school Dokken tone I would be in nirvana. Chris is right Lynch was ripped off a lot in the 80s, just like Van Halen. The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Without music, life would be a mistake. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cool vids, Wayne! Yeah, i've always liked Lynch ever since '88 or '89 when I listened to Dokken but I lost interest in the band shortly after, I just liked heavier music like thrash metal and death metal more to not listen to Dokken anymore. I still have always liked his playing and phrasing and alot of my friends are fans too. I just never went out and bought any of his stuff but from what i've heard was pretty good. Then, when I got Tony MacAlpine's Maximum Security about a year ago (sadly it took me this long to actually go out and buy it and listen to it), I was amazed by Lynch's work on that album. Nicely done. ![]() |
