Going to a show this evening: Has anyone heard of any of these bands?
Hey, Im going to this show:

GOD FORBID - Century Media Records

GOATWHORE - Metal Blade Records

MNEMIC - Nuclear Blast Records

ARSIS - Willowtip Records

BYZANTINE - Prosthetic Records

Anyone know/heard anything about them? I listened on myspace, everything sounds pretty good.

I usually randomly pick shows on Tues or Wed, just to see something potentially interesting. And this one looks good

Arsis is one of the better melodeath/semi-complex death bands out there right now. Mnemic and Goatwhore put me to sleep. Byzantine is OK. God Forbid has moments, but they seldom put it all together.

Pretty easy to figure out which two I actually like, huh?

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

Strangely, Arsis was the band from myspace that sounded best. Thanks for the input.

Ill need to go to a show tonight, as I have spent the entire day doing hardcore data analysis. Ugh. Its easy, just kind of brain-twisting.

God Forbid has some decent songs, I like a few of their riffs a lot but then some of their material is kinda mehhhh. Sounds like fun!
