Meshuggah
I was thinking of picking up an album from "Meshuggah" I've yet to listen to one. I'd prefer to buy one pre 8 string era. Are they using 7 strings in "Chaosphere"? Thanks in advance.

Yep, they use 7's on Chaosphere. Great album too, probably my favourite of theirs.

Dynamically I really like Destroy Erase Improve. I think this is Meshuggah at their most progressive. Great solos, clean parts, and writing. Also a great seven string album.

Thanks so far "Chaosphere" is blowing my mind away. They definately reach to the deepest level of heaviness. If I was ever to join a band I would definately want to incorporate their sound in some way.

Personally I prefer DEI to Chaosphere, just because it's a little more dynamic and eclectic. They're both great albums though.
