the arpegios (minor 11th and so on ) are from joe satriani's THE POWER COSMIC back in late 80's..quite cool the way he played them ...but satch doe's em with one hand like in mistycal potato head groove thing..very good playing like his style & tone..anybody know what AMP he's using ..

I think in some of his other videos posted here a while back he used a Roland Cube 30. So that might be it.

Just saw it on youtube and thought I would be the first one posting this... but the man himself beat me to it. Awesome! You should really take that muter away though. It will make your technique worse. If you have a problem with something you should deal with it instead of doing something like that. Just my thoughts.

I sometimes use a ponytail thingy to mute the strings when I'm recording or just messing around. I never use it when practicing, though.

Hey Andy, I really liked your columns on alloutguitar.com. I'm still working on the molto perpetuo thing. Any idea when we can expect a new one?
