Heavy Rain

and probably most of Final Fantasy 7's music, which still gets me choked up from time to time

Even though he's my personal hero, I'm not going to mention Nobuo Uematsu as he will get plenty of suggestions here.

The composing team for Shadow Hearts (Yoshitaka Hirota, Yasunori Mitsuda & co) are brilliant, stunning OST for the second instalment especially.

I don't know what it is about Japanese composers but they can sure write a good video game soundtrack.

Yeah pretty much the music from the original Street Fighter II, and the music from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Very cool stuff and well written!

Statement 2: Man is an animal.

Here's some of my playing. Hear it in all it's "trv kvlt" production values...

as far as just playing through the game and loving the music, i have several. OST's always have tons of filler and crap in them that ruin the flow. i usually trim out the fat when i get them.

faves:
Silent Hill 2

DAT ENDING

Silent Hill 3

CHILLS down my spine, everytime.

Rogue Galaxy

Dark Cloud 2

get's stuck in my head easy. makes me want to restring my classical guitar and learn it.

Katamari Damacy

what's not to like? it's happy.

WipeOut Fusion, HD, and so far 2048 (also some cool fan-made soundtracks)

Persona 3

Nocturne

Devil Summoner

the item shop music. so rad.

Myst
Atmospheric and ambient, but not the overly electronic kind.

Shadow of the ninja
8-bit metal.

Warcraft 2
Needs no introduction, I think.

Speaking of video game music, this guy (who makes all kinds of sweet medleys, and has an awesome album out) does all the tunes he "covers" more than justice.
