Down-tuned melo death bands

Hello my friends !!!

As a big melodeath fan that I am, I realized all my MDM bands are all tuned in DGCFAD or BEADF#B (BEADGBE).

Do you know some Gothenburg-like melodic death metal bands (in the vein of At The Gates, Lock Up, Gates Of Ishtar ...) that use A, G, F# or octave E tunings (or lower

)

I'm very curious of listening to this kinda stuff.

In Flames plays some of their songs in Drop A#. Other than that I don't know any other Gothenburg-MDM band that plays lower than that

B is definitely the ultimate melodeath tuning, I know it, but rules are there to be broken

In Lock Up there is Tompa Lindberg.
Tompa = Swedish
Sweden = Gothenburg
Gothenburg = Melo Death

So, Lock Up is Melodeath, as well as ABBA ... see?

Seriously, I know Lock Up is classic Grindcore/ Deathgrind stuff, but in Gothenburg like - Melo Death, I mean

- Blast beats
- Typical Death vocals (Growls, harsh, cleans ...)
- fast riffs with major scales & power chords all the way.

As well, if you have Deathgrind in F# or lower, it's ok

Every single In Flames song since Soundtrack is in drop a#. They started using drop a# on Colony but the main tuning was still C standard
The song Transparent out of Reroute to Remain has some ridiculously low tuning like G i think

The lowest tuned MDM band I know is Hypocrisy, which is tuned to A# standard and drop G#

If you take a couple of leaps, one could consider Scar Symmetry MDM (I do) and they have a couple of 8-string songs, including one in drop E

Other than that, no clue, I mostly listen to In Flames (C/drop A#), Dark Tranquility (C#/drop B), At The Gates (B?) and Amon Amarth (B/drop A)

Not to hijack the thread, but I discovered these days that the vocalist for Blinded Colony became producer/songwriter Shellback, he is a partner of Max Martin and co-wrote half of the pop music that plays on radio stations nowadays such as Moves Like Jagger (Maroon 5), several Britney songs, DJ Got Us Falling in Love (Usher), Pink's songs, etc.

I saw Blinded Colony a few years ago and I must say this is probably the least surprising thing I've heard in ages. Jesus effin' Christ did that band ever suck in the suckiest way possible.

Dude, just import some melodeath songs into Audacity and change the pitch down to whatever you want.
