If I'm honest, I was listening to the likes of Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Slipknot e.t.c by 10...
But actual hidden metal in games I used to play as a 7/8 year old: (A rip off of Skin of my Teeth, Megadeth) (A whole ton of things - some of the comparisons are a little dodgy but most are accurate, the Alice In Chains ones are particularly shamefully ripped off :P) |

Probably Journey's "Separate Ways." Video games didn't really have music when I was a kid.
"There's only one real freedom in music: freedom from the tyranny of trying to sound good." -Kenny Werner "Whatever technique you have on your instrument at any given time is always good enough to say something. If you can't find the thing to say, that's what you've got to work on." -David Torn "Don't be afraid to let go of the things you know. Defy your weaker, safer self. Create. Make music." -Sonny Sharrock "Do your thing. Follow your heart." -David Fiuczynski |

well music from a band, would have been Alice Cooper or Black Sabbath......dad raised me on music so I was well versed in a lot of older rock at a very young age.
as far as cartoon themes.....that would be Tmnt or probably GI Joe, or something along those lines....and video games.....the Mega Man games had some killer music. My shitty playing: http://soundcloud.com/pinchuk www.youtube.com/lemeker It's like an adage I heard once: "If you're a hunter and your prey starts shooting back at you, quit hunting and start selling ammo." I remember being in grade 5 with my tape player in the school yard blasting Spit It Out by Slipknot and thinking it was the most awesome shit.

Probably either of these two:
Shut the hell up, Les Mis is metal in the extreme. Kind of symphonic power metal. Russell Allen would make a badass Valjean. ![]() Carpathia : progressive extreme metal from London. Free track! When I was a little kid they didn't even have video games.
And the first video games that came out were like pong and space invaders and asteroids. But when I was 5 years old I heard frankenstein by the edgar winter group. It was all downhill from there. |
