I don't gig, and whenever my guitar leaves my house, I never let it go and never let anything or anyone touch it. So if something happens to it and I can't use it, it's neck must have snapped somehow and I'd be too pissed to play anything afterwards anyway.
So yeah. I just have one Ibanez RG2228 in drop E and a POD HD500 (not including speakers or headphones and stuff like that). My POD does more than I need it to, and my guitar does all the six-string stuff I need to, all the seven-string stuff, and all the eight-string stuff. And it doubles as a bass until I get a bass. Pure lack of funds is one part, but I have an idiosyncrasy to get the most versatile thing for everything. I tend to purchase one quality thing for everything and that's everything I ever need to do. I'd like a guitar with a floating bridge though. I'd like to get a JEM and a UV and keep them in standard tuning because I know I'd use them. I have other tunings I want to try, but I know it's not worth buying a whole new instrument just for something like that. ...?! |

Surh Rasmus (cheaper non custom made in Asia Suhr... but absolutely insane for price) - Also uber versatile, so does all my 6 string needs
Ibanez rg1527 (The seven) Jackson Kelly KE3 Going to sell Classical Banjo Basically, I have different ones for different functions... I would actually have many guitars if I could afford em, but all of them would have different functions (rather than just sound) eg: trems, no trems, hollowbody, 6 7 8 strings, sustainer, strandberg :P etc.... But that is what I would do IF I had infinite money |

Got a 4(bass), 6,7, and an 8.
All sound different and are in different tunings. Tunings (low-to-high) 4: DGCF 6: GDAEBF# (fifths) 7: EADGCFBb (faux 7 str bass) 8: F#BEADGCF None are redundant, should get something acoustic sometime, and something fretless. ![]() No Nation. No Philosophy. No Ideology. |
