I'm sure this will make some happy.

I personally have always hated when people go to a show and bash on (verbaly or physically) the groups that they dislike or are simply not there to see.
If you don't want to yell, cheer, mosh, or just headbang in approval, that's fine. Throwing rocks though

there were rumors spreading on forums that megadeth were the reason that wasp wasn't playing, that's why these people got pissed. megadeth demanded a different time slot and wasp didn't want to oblige them.

two huge egos, two bands that have no reason to exist anymore. who cares.

the fans are still shitbags though.

I should point out, from where I was standing in the crowd, I saw plenty of bottles/cups, and one rock. Other than this incident, it was easily one of the best festivals I've been to (alongside Metalcamp Slovenia). The people there were awesome (aside from the handful of people that did the bottle throwing of course).

I hate people who throw things at bands, but Dave had messed up a few bands that day, so I ain't going to jump in and defend him

From what I've read, both W.A.S.P. and Dark Tranquillity had to cancel their sets because of Megadeth.

In the end, I think it's just one more case of Carrot Top's ego giving him a disproportionate sense of importance.

That being said, .... any fan who thinks they have the right to throw stuff at musicians--they're at work. What if I came into your pathetic little cubicle and lobbed rocks at you because I thought you were shitty or was pissed off about your decisions?

Also, throwing rock at Megadeth on stage, has the disadvantage of potentially hitting and injuring people like Chris Broderick, who is by all accounts a swell guy.

That is correct. Also he told Beholder (who were on stage 2) that they had to stop their set while they were on the main stage, because he wanted the whole crowd to himself. Luckily they got to resume once Megadeth left. Very shitty for a young band who travelled there just for this festival to be told it was cancelled like that.

best thing about it though, is that they ended up with a bigger crowd because of it
