Famous bands/artists from your country
hi guys, can you please post videos of famous bands/artist from your country?
it doesn't have to be metal/rock music necessary, it can be pop music or whatever music you want. also is better if it is in your country language. ![]() I just wanna hear huge artists from your country =) and give a little explanation about the artist. I'll start first: I know I live in California, but I was born in Chile (can't remember that much) and lived most my life in Mexico (north, border with USA). So here's the band La Ley, they were HUGE in the 90's in all Latin America, but they don't play anymore, just the vocalist in his solo band. |

For me, being from the US, naming famous bands from here seems sort of pointless.
![]() I could list a bunch of bands you've probably never heard of, but they aren't like ultra famous or anything. |

yeah i guess it's kinda pointless.
my point was to hear bands/artist that are famous but in their country or certain region, that nobody listen to them, except the people from the region/country |

Also, the whole Slipknot vs Mushroomhead argument is null and void when TISM have been doing this since 1982 (also).

As far as a lot of Americans are concerned, bands like AC/DC, Queen, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Jet and others are all American. Otherwise, why do they sound American?
If you don't care enough to research your own question, why should anyone else care more? "Pay no attention to his long winded posts... (Explorer) seldomly knows what he's talking about." Adam Of Angels "Actual knowledge and a google bookmark are very different things." Anonymous neg-repper |

I'll do my state instead.
Rich Boy(the "dat ass" guy) Lionel Richie I'm not positive, but there had to be at least one member of Lynyrd Skynyrd from Alabama That's all I can think of right now. He's not very famous, but I'm throwing in Emil Werstler as our resident guitar god. Indeed Textures came to mind, also
Within Temptation and Epica (symphonic rock/metal) lesser known but still pretty big: opgezwolle (dutch hip hop): De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig (roughly translated "Kids These Days" I want to get a vending machine, with fun sized candy bars, and the glass in front is a magnifying glass. You'll be mad, but it will be too late. |

Within Leviathan. They're probably the biggest, and one of, if not the best band in the Savannah area. I'm actually going with them as a roadie on Monday to their show where they're opening for Hands Like Houses, My Ticket Home, and The Air I Breathe. ....ing cool guys, too. |

Well... unfortunately Spain is sort-of known for a barrage of generic Epic/Power/Pseudo-Thrash. And most of the ones that don't fall into this category are extremist Basque Nationalists
![]() That being said, there's actually a few great grind/death bands that are probably my only source of Spanish pride ![]() Machetazo. That sample from the Spanish version of Rosemary's Baby creeps me out so much it's not even funny. Looking for an Answer. Haemorrhage. Carcass worship FTW. Angelus Apatrida. Best national Thrash band hands-down. And of course, the mighty Ernia ![]() "It's spelled Raymond Luxury Yacht, but it's pronounced Throat Wobbler Mangrow" |
