DragonForce's New Singer/Song

This appears to be h first official release of their new material. I know DragonForce gets a lot of hate but the inner fan boy in me can't help but getting excited.

I also really dig the new singer, Marc Hudson. Lyrics appear to still be a little wonky but it's power metal so who cares, right? Guitars sound polished but far less edited. RIP to those that heard the Master Tracks for Inhuman Rampage.

Overall, I dig. My soft spot for the band may be causing me to sugar coat it but hey, whatever.

Sounds good to me!! Seem's their concentrating more on writing actual songs these days rather than wanking as fast as humanly possible.

It sounds like they listened to a bunch of Thin Lizzy, then made a DF-Lizzy song which is pretty cool.

I really don't think it matters WHAT he is playing, he's just flat out great @ what he does.

Yeah I think he has said before that he has little preference on what he plays, Herman's the one that handles all their gear.

I don't mind it too much, but I can't listen to it.

At least not without wanting to dance like an Irishman (which I am) and LARP with geeks as I punch them out.

Maybe the budget version is actually good enough to play. I think the signature thing is just an Ibanez thing. If the budget is good enought for Herman it should be good enough for most musicians.

They had a tour for their third album where they suffered from drunkenness, sloppiness and gear issues. It was laughably bad but it seems to be the only thing people remember about the band. Their subsequent tours were much better.

tons of "all the same" songs.Some said the guitarists couldn't really play what was on their studio albums,but since i saw an herman clinic(and tried his sign,one of the 2 or 3 ibanez i'd consider to buy),i can definitely say he can.

Anyway now they sound just like a different band,seriously.Not a bad thing,the new singer is good,they are just less exaggerated and more "standard" as power metal band.Not sure they will get a great success this way,now they are no diffetent from many other of the genre.

Okay Im no Dragonforce fan, I find their Stuff to get a little " redundant "

But I must Say this song impressed me, because It shows off that Herman and Sam are moving away From The whole " L00k at me guyz 1m Shredding every 5 seconds lyke Omgz so c00l" kinda sound.
To a much more Structured Sound, That isn't all just wanking.

I love shredding and all but it impress me more When bands add shredding to Add to the music.
Rather Than Just shredding for the Sake Of shredding, Which I felt Dragonforce was doing.

Still not a Dragonforce fan, but I must Say It's big step for them.

I'll get my dose of cheese some other way that doesn't include Dragonforce. A friend of mine gave me copies of all of his Dragonforce CD's back in high school, attempting to listen to all of them scarred me for life.
