New Job for a Cowboy album, whos excited?
Anyone else pumped for the new Job For a Cowboy Album, it sounds like its going to killer album, even the album cover looks brutal as hell. If you havnt heard about it yet all of the info is below so check it out and go out and buy it april 10th
![]() Job For A Cowboy ‘’Demonocracy” Out April 10, 2012 Returning with their strongest line up to date and armed with ‘Demonocracy’, nine tracks of seething aggression and potent disgust, Job For A Cowboy have never sounded hungrier. ![]() Demonocracy roars to life it is wholly evident that this is a far tighter, meaner, and more musically accomplished beast that takes their signature sound to the next level. From the abrasive blast of opener "Children Of Deceit" to the disconcerting strains of "The Deity Misconception" or the brooding, epic closer "Tarnished Gluttony" everything is drenched in equal parts misanthropy and naked rage, and from start to finish they hold the listener by the throat. Yes I'm excited.
I loved Ruination, and I'm kind of getting into Genesis as of late. Gloom felt too "forced" if that makes any sense. "Worst post I have ever read" - anonymous user on my post about extreme metal "you're such a faggot it's ridiculous" - anonymous user on my post in a Design the Skyline thread |

Funny you should mention that. From what I was told, they put out Gloom as a sort of "in between" EP so that fans wouldn't feel alienated by the new members, new album, newish sound. They wanted to move in a different direction, but didn't want people to start the whole "so-and-so left and they changed the whole sound" thing. So, in a way, I guess it was a little forced.

This album is going to very different seeing how they have two new members writing their first full length as a band. I think there will be more technical riffs and more brutalness! I just watched an interview with Jonny and Nick. Also Jonny sheds light on why Brent and Bobby left. (5:59 and 10:32 respectfully)

I like the drumming and vocals...can't say I've ever been into their riffadge or tones. However, they've only been getting better with each album...and I've been in need of some new death metal!

i will say this: They certainly do improve with each record. They have some songs/riffs I really like, but as a whole, it always feels like they are just shy of releasing a real quality death metal record. If that makes sense. They are at the point now, where I can't really point to anything n say "this is why I cant get into them much", I just can't. Like I said, I like a few of their songs, n this new one will be in rotation for a bit I imagine. 4 or 5 years ago I couldnt believe Id ever say I think JFAC has a great death metal record in them, but I think they do.

Really?
I think the guitars on this album are the best part next to the vocals. |

I'm not lookin to start an argument, since you are entitled to your opinion, I'm just sort of transitioning off your comment if you will, but it always baffled me when people think the vocals are the best part of a death metal album. I mean, there are def great death metal vocalists out there, but really come on now. They are one of the easiest things to do musically, and offer the least bit of creativity (in most cases) and hardly any dynamics. Esp w/ this being a guitar website. Maybe its younger guys, cuz when I was around 13/14, I loved anything w/ deep death vocals. Now I couldnt give a .... less. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way as me, and are dumbfounded that people listen to death metal cds for the fantastic vocals. With this cd, as well as every other death metal cd in existence, the guitars/riffs are #1 by a mile, for me that is. |
