Sounds a lot like the same sound they had on Earthsblood to me.....SEriously under-rated disc, that one was.....

it seems the internet is busted, we are about 20 posts deep in an In Flames thread and there has yet to be a "everything after Clayman sucks" post.

Since when have slides and bends become something other than slides and bends?

Anyway - it's a great song. Mark Lewis also killed it with the production. Pretty excited for this record, that's for sure.

Killer. I've always liked them, not fanatically, but respected. Put on a hell of a show, too. The tones do sound a little more 'djenty' (did I just say that? ) but still classic GF. This is a definite buy for me.

Sounds killer. I've been pretty eager to hear this album.

And for the love of all things good in this world, PLEASE DO NOT TAG GOD FORBID WITH 'DJENT'...... God damn I hate that word.....

I like it. Same as Merlin, I am not a HUGE fan but I love Earthsblood and some other stuff and I am loving this and hope it don't get tagged as fcuking djent....

i can see that main riff being culprit, but wouldn't call it jumping on the djent bandwagon so to speak. a lot has to do with it their switch to 7 strings from earths blood on. Drum-wise, a typical God Forbid rhythm... Looking forward to hear this record, first on without Dallas

i really am enjoying this song, but i still prefer "Where We Come From". Such a catchy song that the entire crowd can get into.

also, TheKilling, they are playing in C I believe, at least o WWCF

lol yeah i get his point. i dont think the new track is djent but i made that the thread title because thats what 8459738974359834 people think it is and i figured id post it in a sarcastic way to promote discussion haha. i changed the thread title though so it will be THE GF thread.

God Forbid Not Djent Yet | News @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

Haha. Also, I love the fact that he mentions A Life Once Lost. They get no credit and have influenced some of these newer "Djent" bands even if these bands know it or not. If you go check out the A Life Once Lost appreciation thread, you'll see I've been saying that for awhile.
