STRUCTURES play through videos

I really love these videos. I like the angles and stuff. The music is cool of course. It sounds like they are tuned pretty low and I've heard Carvin 7s are difficult to intonate when going to lower tunings. Anyone know how they fixed that issue?

They tune to Drop Bb with a low G. Pretty sure they just use thick as hell strings.

Haha, I witched both of these videos yesterday. Some of the sounds they create are fairly unorthodox for metal (1:12, 1:17 in Hydroplaning). Pretty awesome playing... and yeah it looks like they just have really thick strings.

^ the first one is just a p.h. with a slide. The second is a natural harmonic in the 4th fret, like this:

play that, the natural harmonics, and release your fretting hand soon as you strike the notes. It should ring out makin that noise you hear.

He's smashing the strings into his bridge pickup. Basically just use the heel of your hand and slam it into your strings until they actually make contact with the pickup, and that horrendous noise results.

These vids sound so much better than the album.

They're a talented band from what I've heard, but they still focus a bit too much on the whole breakdown thing for me.

Also, the first thing I think of whenever they are mentioned is the thread at the Sneap forums about their e.p and the insanely cut up guitars. Makes me wonder how many takes these vids took.

If they are playin the songs live I'm sure they can play em in their sleep by now. The two songs in the video aren't insanely hard or anything. Not sayin they are easy, but I'd imagine they can.
