New Dragonforce Album Details Announced

Well for the very few fans on this forum they have finally announced the details.

Title: THE POWER WITHIN ((Its not the same without the caps.

))

Track list:

1. Holding On
2. Fallen World
3. Cry Thunder
4. Give Me the Night
5. Wings of Liberty
6. Seasons
7. Heart of the Storm
8. Die By the Sword
9. Last Man Stands
10. Seasons (Acoustic Version)

Release date: April 15

Fallen world (It even has seven strings!):

I personally can't wait.

For those who absolutely despise the band I know you could at least get some laughs out of the album title and tracklist.

It has been such a long lonely road, that was so far away in the distant skies, where fire met flames and fury and journeys must be completed that they released a new album.

I hope this one is far away in the distant skies of awesomeness, and that they carry on forever, and eternity.

BTW I honestly love Dragonforce, cant wait for the album

just curious, how did all those "sloppy playing" rumors get started? i never really followed this band but i hear a lot of things about sloppy playing and them playing too drunk live, but from most of the vids ive seen, they dont seem all that sloppy?

whats the deal with this?

They definitely use to be sloppy live due to drinking to much and having insane parts but a few years ago they had came to a group decision to focus on their playing, and have been great since.

I do not like the new vocalist at all though - kind of ruins it for me. I use to do graphic design work for them and they are all super cool guys, but I can't find myself getting excited for the new album even though they are using 7 strings on some songs. Who knows, I hope it rules.

I bought a copy of ultra beat down. Didn't manage to listen to it all before I got distracted, the dvd was interesting at least.

I seem to remember Herman showing off the 8 string ibby he just got on it.

I'm actually more excited for Marc. I supported him ever since hiis first audition vid. I love his Helloween/Micheal Kiske like voice.

Yay for studio versions! It sound way more stripped down from the likes of Inhuman and Ultra beatdown. Alot like Sonic Firestorm.

Way better than the live clip - there is not 1 thing I didn't enjoy about that song. Perfect flashyness, perfect vocal range, perfect song length and structured enough for me to say its less spastic than the previous records.

Can't say I'm too into the song at the moment, it's growing on me a bit more but the beginning of the chorus melody sounds as if they created it, realized it was along the lines of Cry of the Brave and simply changed the last note. Marc's voice (whilst better than live videos) has the kind of stereotype power metal singing tone behind it, whereas I always admired ZP for having a unique voice. Also the first verse sounds as if they were creating the stereotype power metal scene: 'Soldiers of fire...rage of the universe..barren wasteland'. I know Dragonforce have used all of this before but usually it's a bit more elegant.

That aside, I'm still a huge DF fan.

Very excited for this and to finally her a full studio song with Marc. The single they released sounds pretty good, I definitely hear it more like pre-Inhuman Rampage stuff.

I think that one guitar-world video they did was probably the root of it ... haha I think he actually acknowledges at the end how shit what he played sounded, but that definitely had much to do with I think.

I've already got the boxset on order. They were Fantastic when I say them in Toronto with Marc. He's a quite the nice chap as well.

I'm loving the guitar tone on the Fallen World.

And the 3rd and final piece of the, "LolZ! Studioforce," idiocy came from when they played Through the Fire and the Flames on MTV and Sam tripped over Fred's leg and knocked his guitar out of tune. Leading to his soloing sounding like complete shit.
