Jasun Tipton Chops from Hell DVD
I got my copy of Jasun Tipton's Chops from Hell DVD today, and I have to say I am slightly pissed. Knowing Jasun is exclusively a seven string player, I expected there would be some cool 7 string runs on the DVD. WRONG! The first thing he does is tune up and tell everybody to not worry about the low B as everthing on the DVD is for six strings
His playing is freaking godlike, but it was a letdown as I was hoping for some seven string content ![]()

As for the Jasun DVD don't get me wrong, it looks like it's probably got some pretty cool runs on it, just no seven specific stuff. The funny thing is he uses his Zero Hour custom seven with the EMG in the bridge for the video ![]() |

I guess it's just to make the DVD accessible to all guitarists, as, for all we can complain about it, more people play sixes than sevens...
![]() I'm sure with a little thought you could expand the licks to cover all seven strings. Tom Kopyto's DVD has some cool seven-string specific stuff... |

That sucks. Write the guy an email and direct his attention to this site. Dude needs to recognize.
![]() Seriously, I think that you were right to expect at least a bit of 7. |

I'll ask him, but I'll bet the "make it accessible to all guitarists" bit is correct. I'm sure it's something he has to do regularly, being a teacher. |
