Can you guys list some names of bands that play sevens, i am trying to find other bands than korn .Thanks

Dream theater ( however now John is drop tuning 6's ) some of the older stuff is still original 7 "Caught in a web" for example.

Meshugga ( or something like that ) they use 8 strings.

Tony McAlpine
Check out the interviews on the front page here on this site, there are some interviews with 7 string players who have some music out there. Not to mention some of the kick ass players right here on this site who have stuff in the Jukebox area.

Well, here are some bands:

-Nevermore
-Emperor ( the last album )
-Cannibal Corpse ( some of the stuff is played with 7 stringers )
-Meshuggah
-Darkane ( some of the old stuff )
-Fear Factory

Um, seven string bands...

A bunch of the guys on this site - in particular, give Vince Lupone a listen.

Muse uses a 7 on a few songs - Citizen Erased is a great example.
Strangers With Candy/Lifer uses 7's and detuned 6's interchangeably -"No Need" and "Not Like You" both own.
Hmm... tough question, actually... Tool's new disc should have a lot of 7 on it. In the jazz world, Jim Hall?

Jemsiters worth a listen - Rusty Cooley, Rob Balducci on a few tracks...

Oh, Ben Carroll of Ra uses sevens almost exclusively. I suck for not thinking of that, lol.

Darkane used 7's?? On christopher malmstroms website, he has all of (or at least a large portion of) Darkanes songs tabbed out and they're all tabbed for a 6-string tuned down to B?
