The best goddamn technical death metal I've ever heard in my life
I don't know about you, but I've been searching for something like this for a very long time. This is everything tech death should be. Absolute perfection for me.
Forgive me for having my moment here, but I've never been so awestruck on a first listen before. Its like Gorod but more serious. Its like Obscura but more brutal. Its like Necrophagist but more expressive. Its like Spawn of Possession but more intense. Its like Decrepit Birth but more logical. I am going to go cry now... |

I am not sure how these guys are deathcore at all but I am glad this thread exists otherwise I would never have known the awesomeness.

OP, haha nice seeing some good folks recieving recognition. :P
Those are all good friends of mine and sweet musicians I have already played with. Really down to earth guys and special awesomeness points to Forest (bassist from the band and ex-Quo Vadis, Augury) Cool to see that bands from the Montreal scene are known on this board. ![]() You would love Montreal for its metal scene man! Go check out the band First Fragment if you don't already know'em. Other friends of mine and we played together few shows. Their drummer is one real good friend. :P Cheers! Hmm. I don't know how I missed these guys. I'll be checking out the whole thing.
Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook, and Soundclick might eventually be updated, too.

Musically:
![]() Pig-squeal vocals: ![]() Which makes the non-instrumentals pretty much unlistenable ![]() That said, time to make a Pandora station for "Technical Metal Instrumentals". EDIT: I actually already did this back in April and, unfortunately, Pandora doesn't recognize 'Beyond Creation' ![]() EDIT #2: Here's the station: Pandora Radio - "My Progressive/Technical/Death Metal"I decided not to make it "instrumental only" -- I'll just thumbs-down anything with pig-squeals/cookie-monster vocals. Any suggested seed bands/songs to add? Ray The Ultimate Question: What string gauge is needed for 18.84# of tension when tuned to E2 on a 27" scale guitar?
