I was six when he died, but that doesn't matter. RIP Chuck, a musical genius.

I never really got into Chuck or Death before 2011....in fact until very recently and now I have to acknowledge that he's a superb player and massive influence - he shares some traits with other players I admire and I actually dig the music beyond the technical and construction aspects.

I'd actually love a 6-string Stealth.....there's a lot to be said for having balls enough to play through a simple Marshall setup with only one pickup and he makes it sound ferocious beyond belief.

R.I.P Chuck.

While raping a bear in Yellowstone and snorting coke out of a freshly-dead baby's skull, I finally felt that I had found my calling and built a time machine out of Iraqi WMDs and LOTS OF HEMP WHOA. Using this time machine I went back in time and shot JFK from outer ....ing space. I am now your god - Jeff
.....and then all of a sudden he drops the musical equivilant of a steaming turd right in our laps - ESP Griffyn

That was also the very first performance of TSOP's lineup...and while I kinda agree, putting anyone up against Hoglan and Reinert is just silly, they're ridiculous.

RIP Chuck, while I only found out about Death in 2008, you helped me learn to appreciate music with screams/growls. Couldn't stand them before. One of my saddest thoughts is that I was too young to ever see you live

R.I.P.

He is my biggest influence, by FAR. Ever since I heard Pull the Plug in middle school, Death has been one of my favorite bands EVER. Too bad my Death shirt wasn't clean today. I shall blast some Death today, though!

Chuck was dead before I knew he even existed. Wish I could have seen him live... a pioneer of metal music.

RIP Chuck

Death was the first band that really got me into death metal about 3 or 4 years ago. And even though I'd been playing guitar for a few years before I heard them, the first time I heard Chuck play I was that much more inspired to play heavy music.

RIP Chuck, absolutely my biggest influence

I too got into Death after his passing, but that just proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that his body of work will long outlive him.

RIP Chuck!

Shouldn't of 'Death' kept it going? Keep Death alive! Would of been kind of cool comparing who would of replaced him, and how he couldn't live up. One of a kind!
