I've never been a fan of smashing guitars on stage.

Oh well, if he wants to smash cheap beater guitars that's up to him. Ever heard of Antiproduct? Saw them support the Murderdolls at their first UK gig. The singer tried his hardest but couldn't smash his guitar and ended up looking a twat for trying.

I hate seeing people smash guitars.

But i loved it when he threw the neck into the crowd and the lights went out when it was in mid-air. Somebody definitely got clocked.

I think, upon further reflection, that if I were to smash guitars on stage, I'd try to make it socially productive - autograph the peices, maybe, and ebay them and donate all proceeds to like a youth literacy charity or a program to keep music education in schools.

Seeing him smash a 7 string Ibanez on stage made me want to cry. I mean, if he didn't like the guitar so much, I would gladly adopt it!

When I saw Unearth live, Ken broke a guitar on their last song, but Ken changed guitars 3 times throughout the set (Buz changed twice) and he only used the last guitar for the very last song. It looked like it was pretty cheap.

Live, Buz used an Ibanez UV777BK on like 3-4 songs, then used his RGA7 on the rest of the songs. Ken used some kind of RG on like 5 songs, used his S7 that says KILL on it for maybe 4-5 songs, and that cheap RG for the last song. If I remember correctly.

Me too, I hate seeing that sometimes. I once read that Rickenbacker refused to make any more guitars for Pete Townsend from ruining so many of them.

Unearth is pretty good, i'd love to see them live and if I saw that live, i'd probably wouldn't like it but I know the show would kick ass, by the way, it was hard to hear what was going on, that was a bad quality video.
