No offense man, but there isn't much to understand about Wormwood. I've listened to ObZen probably twice for each time I've listened to Wormwood, and if anything, Wormwood sounds like Nothing. Other than a couple of random droning notes, I wouldn't compare the two albums or bands.

3750 and The Dead Walk.
![]() If only I'd known how big of an influence TAS would have on deathcore, I could've copied Smoke Ya Later myself and gotten as big as Emmure.

im my humble opinion, wormwood was mediocre. everything else was ....in heavy as shit and awesome. sun poison and skin cancer is to date one of my favorite songs of all time. continent is awesome as well. balboa towers is such an awesome song
"Tune it low, play it slow!" Good deals with: abswisher - brutalwizard - Toxic Dover - oneblackened - Garloof |

I only listen to 3570 and The Dead Walk.
The new stuff sound so instantly monotone vocally compared to the old stuff. It sounds like he doesn't even care anymore live, sloppy. This is the old Acacia Strain: This is the new Acacia Strain: |

I like 3750, continent, and wormwood. The dead walk is bland to me, but I guess I need a couple more listens.

Its hard for me to decide between Continent and Wormwood....I think Continent is their best work but Wormwood takes you to another world. By far their darkest album both lyrically and musically.

To add, I think the biggest plus (for me) about Continent is the actual production quality. Everything sounds huge and powerfully tonally without overdoing it. I also think that Vincent Bennett sounds a little different at times on that record and I really missed hearing it on Wormwood, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of that one.

i like the first one most, cant stand the other stuff. maybe its too "modern" or too "core" for my taste. i love that thrashy attitude in their songs, but as most dont know, thrashy doesnt come with un-tight.
YES i am proud to live in the neighbourhood of diezel amplification ... |

The Dead Walk is my album of choice. Continent struck me as a bit too clean sounding, the guitar tone just isn't as good but I haven't really listened to it enough to really get to know it. Wormwood never rubbed off on me. I ....ing loved the version of Terminated on the EP but the version on Wormwood was spoiled by them trying to make the song more percussive.
The band gets a ton of flak, even if they aren't Emmure and I can definitely see why but I still enjoy The Dead Walk, as "lamecore" as it is. Fun stuff, pissed off and heavy. I have an Acacia Strain shirt with a bunch of people locked up inside a burning church. It's my rebellious shirt. |
