Question Does this Amp Sim sound decent? - MP3 attached

Last night I worked on making a decent sounding amp/cab sim with Guitar Rig. I made the preset primarily just for scratch pad recording. For final recordings I'd probably mic my amp with my Rode NT1. In the past I've worked with the Sans Amp GT2, and the amp/cab sims in my GT-8. The GT2 was great when using it's built in distortion but sounded crappy using my Metal Zone. The GT-8 doesn't do that wonderful of a job so I turned to Guitar Rig which sounds REALLY good in my opinion. Anyhow, tell me if you guys think this sounds ok for scratchpad recording.

This is just a super simple riff with bass and a crappy drum track. I just made it to have something to work on the guitar sound with. And it's only 9 seconds long so I could manage to attach it here but it's seemlessly loopable:

16 views and not one reply... hmmm. If anyone else out there has the moment to just give an opinion I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

That's actually not bad at all. Guitar rig... is that computer based or hardware?

What amp is it modeled off? It sounds a bit like a recto, but not quite as saturated. Yet, it's a little deeper than your typical modern Marshall sound... I'm wondering maybe a Soldano of sorts?

Native Instruments Guitar Rig, decent bit of software, I've got it on my laptop too. You can find demo versions around the net somewhere.

Nice tone, though a little too dark for me, especially if it was in a full band situation where the kick drum and bass might make the overall mix a little muddy.

Yeah, it's the Rectofier model. It's a hardware software combination. It comes with a foot pedal board with 4 pedals and a wah wah controller. I found that when using it with it's own distortions it doesn't sound that great. Has that signature amp sim buzz sound. But when running your own distortion into it it sounds great.

Eleven59, thanks for the comments. The original preset is actually brighter and clearer. I was wondering if it was maybe a bit bright so I EQ'd this clip. Thanks for the heads up cause I now know to leave the original preset un-eq'd cause it's not dark like this clip. Thanks again guys!
