I'd take possible exception with these. Not because I think they suck, but their 'rock'ness is debateable. Especially NIN. More dark, heavy techno. RATM, I can see, but they don't really seem to get lumped with 'rock' bands or albums very much.

Well, NIN is technically "industrial." But, even Trent Reznor said that they went in a more rock direction after Pretty Hate Machine and eventually became a "rock" band. They're always classified as "alternative", but that's short for "alternative rock." Same for RATM. They get classified as "alternative rock", which is basically rock.

Eh, that's the way I see it.

I mean, come on, have people forgotten what a rock band is?

Nine Inch Nails is like... miles away from AC/DC, wich is, IMO, what ROCK is (and all those kind of bands).

Yeah, exactly. I mean, it is debateable, and hey, who really cares ultimately, but I just meant good old "rock".
