![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I enjoyed that when it came out, but I'd probably never listen to it now. IIRC, it was one of the few non-blowdried, down-to-earth things on MTV at the time. Kind of amazing that it got played, actually. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You have no idea what this song does to me. For whatever reason I refuse to ponder this song and Sweet Home Alabama are by far the most popular songs my cover band plays. I've probably played this song once or twice a night at every cover gig I've done in the last 15 years. The truely frightening truth is the number of different ways I've played this exact song. I've played it in a country band with full twang, I've played it in a southern fried rock band very closely to the original, I've played it in a classic rock band with a little extra Marshally crunch to it, and currently I play it in my whiplash cover band with full Recto balls. The crowd around here doesn't care how I play it, it packs the dance floor every time. Sometimes late at night when I'm alone and afraid, this song dances in my head like an obsessed spector! ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, my cover band plays it, and the girls get up and dance. It works, and it's fun - and, like Jacksonplayer said, was a breath of fresh air in the '80s when all MTV played was hair metal and Madonna. |
