agreed. though i'm sure most of us have played gigs from time to time. the guys in those bands are the ones playing to thousands upon thousands of people at a time. and not bitching about other bands in guitar forums. they must be doing something right though i will admit to going on a few rants about bands i don't like, lol. but who were you guys expecting to be on the tracks rusty cooley?

I'm not familiar with many of those bands, but I'm sure there's at least some talent among them

I can't even pretend this is a CD/DVD I'll be interested in buying, but I do have to say a lot of these guys are more talented than they let on - we've all heard the old tunes from the band Head and Munky used to be in, and while their solos sound like bad Vai imitiations without his (for better or worse) twisted creativity, the level of technique you have to have to do even uninspired Vai-type soloing is still pretty damned high.

I don't think it's widely available - I don't even remember where I first got it, and it's not on my current computer.

They can shred. We've all heard better, but they're also about 50x better guitarists than "Freak on a Leash" might lead you to believe. Remember, Vai was the reason they picked up 7's.
