OK, I'm probably putting my head on the block, but I can't think of another piece of music written for the guitar that surpasses this. You really have to hear the full twelve minute version...

That does nothing for me at all, a well executed but pretty dull blend of cliches. I totally respect that others dig it, providing others respect that I don't

Is the full version significantly different?

Lol...Don't worry! I'm of the mind that if absolutely everyone likes something it probably isn't of any lasting value.

That's only the first section of the full piece. It actually has three seperate sections.

While that might be my favurite song by Becker, I kinda of have to dissagree with your claim that is the best, it maybe ranks 2nd or third

and BTW did you post this already or did someone else cuz I swear I posted in a thread concerning that particular video

It probably has been posted before, although I can't remember when. Whenever people talk guitar, Becker's name invariably crops up...

DR, no offense to you. That's your opinion, and no more valid or less than mine! Good of you to post it.

But for me, personally? Not even close. Yngwie's whole Concerto is on a whole different level. And that's not even touching guys like Juliam Bream, John Wiliiams, Segovia, or Paul Galbraith (from a performance standpoint).

I did not find this Jason Becker thing to be very hmmm... fulfilling. But that's just my

Though, I do like alot of other stuff I've heard by Becker.

Im not a big fan of the video, but listening to the song is just great..

Nothing beats Becker.. except, well... Marty ^^ they were god gifted, but becker is my constant inspiration for becoming a good guitarist

Becker was more technically skilled than Marty, but I like Marty's style better than Becker's. I just find the stuff Marty writes to be insanely interesting and addicting.
