New Killswitch track

Always been a fan of this band, despite the 'Mallcore' rap that they constantly seem to get, unfairly in my opinion. However, this track sounds to me like they've run out of ideas. What does everyone think?

These guys are talented, Adam D. is also an excellent producer/engineer in the studio and can play. They are really cool guys too, I like them. That being said, although they have some catchy tunes, I just cannot get into the Boston metalcore sound.

Yeah, I feel the same. Most of that stuff sounds to me like a whole bunch of bands treading water, that's why I've always respected Killswitch because I think they have a much better grasp on quality song-writing as a bigger picture rather than 'What can we do with the guitars next'.

I like some of Adams productions, although some of the stuff I've heard him do is just too processed and sterile. I think it was the last Unearth album where the drum sounds were so blatantly sampled and it sounded horrible.

I met him once very quickly in a bar in London, he was a really nice guy. He was telling me how much he was sh*tting himself on releasing their second album, because he felt with the changeover to the new singer it was effectively a new band. I thought that was a really honest thing to say.

However, the one thing he does need to do is shut the hell up onstage and let the frontman front the band. When I saw them at Donnington, in the end Howard walked over and took his mic away to get him to stop talking

it might be cause i've been listening to Arsis all night, but this doesnt do anything for me..

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

They are really cool. I love their stuff. Adam is a damn good producer but I don't like his stage apperance. He's talking too much and his costumes are rather stupid like the cpae he used to wear when they recorded their DVD. Still he's a lot cooler than the guys from Dragonforce.

You sure it's not because Kill Switch Engage fucking sucks? The songs are boring and unimaginative enough on their own, but KSE is one of the worst live bands I have ever seen. Five guys going in five different directions, and none of them are good.

Plus, Arsis just owns. I don't care for a lot of death metal, but I sure do loves me some Arsis.

I thought the exact same thing. When I saw them live, he said something like, "Are there any dirty girls in the audience? Cuz if there are, I'm gonna fuck you all after the show." and he just kept going on about that, going into detail. I was thinking "Jeez, shut up." He seemed like the complete opposite type of personality of Harold's.

I think he just hasn't read the lesson titled 'Band In-jokes aren't funny to everyone else' yet.

Having said that, I was listening to a podcast the other day that had an interview with them, and he was talking about a collar that people can wear to ward off angry dogs, and it was really funny. The interviewer got to ask approximately 0 of his prepared questions.

I'd say...

Sounds so-so. Not bad, and I can listen to it. But, fuck Noodles, I like Killswitch. And Adam D cracks me up. I goft a soft spot in me heart for whack jobs like him.

Thumbs in the middle, slightly up.
