I can only think of 2

Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on drums (I've seen Plant/Paige, Plant, and John Paul Jones seperately)

The band must exist currently, and you can only see it in their current form. You can say a band where all/most of the members are still alive, but are not together (e.g., Pink Floyd). No historical bands (e.g. Roth-era Van Halen). Basically, if the band was to go on tour tomorrow, would you pay $100 to see them in their current form?

No opening act.

I could only think of two:

1. Tool
2. Radiohead

Tool and Radiohead are in the same category to me: the best in their genre, and most likely not going to exist anymore in the near future. I'd give pretty good odds that this is Tools last go-around, and Radiohead may have another album in them, but you never know.

Anyway, what are your bands that you would see?
Definitely Tool

Although I keep saying there is NO WAY I am paying more than $80 to see any band or artist... but I just shelled out $125 for Dream Theater back in January... but then I am in fricking Hong Kong, and chances are they might never come here. Hmm... I think other than Dream Theater and a Pink Floyd reunion tour, there is no way I am paying that much for anyone else.

1) Dream Theater
2) Symphony X
3) Soilwork
4) Joe Satriani

I would pay $100 to see any of those bands live right now w/ no opening act.

Historic bands that I would see if they reformed:

The Newsted-era Metallica, ONLY if 1) they only played songs from their first 5 albums and if 2) James stopped crooning at the end of every vocal line and sang like a man.

2) Friedman/Mustaine/Ellefson/Menza. Enough fucking said. My god, this was the best fucking band ever put together.

3) OSI

4) Th!nkAdectOmy - old friends of mine. Maybe the best local band I ever saw. I'd love to hang out with those guys from Tucson again & take in a show. Back in '97, '98 or so, they were the most fun band I'd ever seen live. A very animated trio and they were good friends of mine years ago.

Considering that on Saturda I saw The Faceless and Arsis with 6 other bands at a venue where I got to hangout with every band before/after their sets and could literally touch the guitarists/bassists feet from where I was standing, all for $12, fuck no! I even got 2 shirts for 10 bucks each... it was a steal.

Decapitated, Krisiun, and Six Feet Under are playing there on Saturday for 15 bucks - this place is like 5 minutes from my house.

I'd never pay 100 bucks to see any band, besides maybe a Carcass reunion.

Yes, it was fucking awesome. In fact the only songs they played that weren't Black album or earlier were Fuel and a new, very shit, song. That was honestly the best festival I've ever been to. Down, Arch Enemy, Sikth, Devildriver, Alice in Chains, Trivium, Korn and Metallica all in one day for £60.

I thought they were pretty ropey when they first came on, there was definitely some problems with James' rhythm playing which I would never have expected from him. Seeing all of Master of Puppets was cool though
