Thumbs down George Lynch: Furious George

Anyone else heard this pile of garbage? What an un-inspired collection of covers from the the late '60s/early '70s.

Please get prescriptions for yourself and Don Dokken, then round up Mick and Jeff and join the rest of us in the 21st Century. Please.

Pretty Please?

Never heard it. I have a hard time George Lynch playing ANYTHING could not kick ass, but I'll listen before I judge...

Have you heard Lynch Mob's 'Smoke This' CD? It's religious rap-metal.

Just gimme some truth. "

Man, the tone is really bad. Sounds like an old DOD pedal though a beaten-up Crate 1x12 on some of those rhythms.

'Bridge of Sighs' isn't too bad, though. And in particular, I found 'Hot Shot City' to be quite stimulating.

Only heard his version of 'All Along the Watchtower', which was a pointless karaoke rendition. And yes, the 'Smoke This' album was beyond appalling.

His 'Wicked Underground' album, with Jeff Pilson was great though; a good mix of their older style with modern metal.

steve777 is a jewel in the rough
The first couple post-Dokken albums George did were really good. Of course, George was amazing with Dokken up thru "Back For The Attack." Having said that, I could care less about anything he has done since the early ninties.

I still think his solo album, Sacred Groove is the best thing he ever put out, and dwarfs Dokken's entire discography.
