Dragonforce.
My bandmates and I have been screwing around with this song. I've no problem with the rhythem work, but the solo's are insane. I'm gonna have to stock up on some Full throttle energy drinks or something to pull this off..

When I saw they do it live, it wasn't a half bad effort at all..

To be fair, when I've seen them live (twice) the lead work has been pretty accurate.

Don't forget to abuse a whammy pedal or pitchshifter of some kind to get the screamy high pitched sound right. Good luck recovering from the impending tendonitis that'll probably bring on too!

I have no doubts, but the recording really isn't that clean, either. Listen to that, then go listen to Nevermore and you can hear how much cleaner Jeff is. I'm not saying the guys suck, but they're not exactly guitar gods. They just play fast patterns.

I agree Noodles. I'd much rather listen to Nevermore than Dragonforce, but they have their place.

Also agreed...
Most of their solos are just the same familiar patterns (harmonic minor in groups of four or six, tapping A minor to F major triplets...) that most people played when they got into shred guitar. They're fine at what they do, but they're pathetically unoriginal.

I've heard some horror stories about one of the guitarists (Sam Totman, sp?) getting drunk onstage and having his playing affected accordingly. Can anyone verify this?
