Ozzfest!

Im going to Ozzfest tomarrow at Alpine Valley Wi. It should be a good time. Im interested in seeing Dragonforce live. I hope they are as good live as they are in the studio.
Anyone else going to the fest?

I won't be going this year, but I'd really like to see Disturbed in concert... Let us know how it is....

Ive seen Disturbed live 4 times. 3 out of 4 times they sounded AWEFUL!!!! By bad I mean the guitar tone sounded he was using a broken metal zone and the drums were WAY too loud and the singer was ot of key often.

I will post a review and maybe a pic story!

Awwww.. that sucks... I would have thought they'd be better... I'm a big fan of their studio albums. I realize that their stuff is easy to play, but I dig their sound, and vocals. Bummer.

Really? I've seen them three times and thought they were awesome each time. The first time I saw them was just because a friend wanted someone to go with (I didn't even listen to them at that time) and by the end of the night, I was a fan. David Draiman did do some pretty silly looking things though... Honestly, who seriously beats their chest like a gorilla anymore.

Just back and fuck am I sunburned! Anyway the second stage sucked. It was all "hardcore" bands and Im not into that. But BLS was cool and OZZY HEADLINED THE SECOND STAGE!!!!!!!! System of a down headlined the first and much bigger stage! And he played less than 10 songs! 45ish min and he was done!

Dragonforce had an AWEFUL sound. I coundt hear them for shit! Not their fault. And Disturbed was pretty good, his voice was about 80%. and their were guitar problems a few times where there was NO guitar at all for 30 or more seconds!

Anyway, Ive been to better ozzfests.

Yeah, same at my Ozzfest. I've heard that sound guys will make opening bands sound like shit purposefully, to make the headliners sound that much better, but I never believed it until now. There was NO low end in DF's mix, and the snare drum was WAY too loud. Fucking sucked cuz they played awesomely, and people were getting into them too!

SOAD were a bunch of hippies. Fuck them. Disturbed sounded GREAT! And Dave Draimain did a little talk about fucking suck-ass emo bands and shit like that, and I quote: "90% of which start with the word "the"".

And then the guitarist from SOAD came out and was all: "We're not here to tell you what band is best and that rap music sucks or this or that music sucks... Love all music!"

*crickets chirping*

SERIOUSLY! The place went dead when that fucking hippie said that shit. YOU'RE AT OZZFEST! It's a fucking metal show dipship. Go back to Canada you tree-hugger!

Well I do have to thank SOAD for headlining. Without them headlining there is no way I would have been able to get out of the parking lot so quickly after Disturbed finished their set!
