I heard the worst band ever today!

I am a guitar teacher and I had a student bring in a cd and ask to learn one or two of the tunes. So I pop the cd in and I couldnt believe how bad it was!!!! The band was panic at the disco! They are fucking aweful!!!!! It made me want to jam a screwdriver in my ear!!!!!
Anyone else share my pain?

the thing about them, is that it has a groove and people can dance to it. I don't think non-music people care about awful, annoying, whining vocals, really lame guitar, barely and bass line, and the weakest drumming they've ever heard.

I'm not a fan but at the same time I don't think it's worth deriding this stuff for a lack of 'musicality'. I find that argument to be bullshit spouted by arrogant muso wankers. David that whole 'non-music' people line is so derogatory - it makes you sound like a bit of a twat (and I like you!) - Sorry man! It's just shit music plain and simple

They're just another newage pop-punk band, and there's nothing wrong with that. The stuff I heard was pretty catchy...
