shane used to run the shredderrooers group on myspace. Iw as one of the first to join, and I used to talk to him all the time. In January, at NAMM, he worked with Cacophony and came up with some new material, and presented it to Marty. He said Marty liked it... but not much more from there. He drops in from time to time again, but he's quite busy.

Shane's a shredder who has tons of talent, but I can't really listen to his music, because it's just pure shred.

Well, he's not really that new. I think he was on the label last August, so almost a year now. His nickname is Mr. Stork, and he is the leader of all killer of emo's! Emo Village Pillage, I think is his first track on his CD. The sweeps... are real... No joke.

He's lead many Emo group attacks by the "shredi knights" on myspace. I quit doing those, because I realized all those who were doing it, can't play worth shit, and they spend all their time hating emos, instead of playing. Yeah, not cool, lol.

He's also had an instructional DVD on Chops From Hell for a little more than a year, he is God.

I'm not much of a shred person either, but then again I think I may be even less metal than Drew.

When he first got a demo of that song up, he said that it's something like 300 bpm, at 16th note triplets.

1800npm... which would be 30 notes a second.

Yeah, IA had a song that started out with that same kind of sound though. I'm kind of skeptical that that's not some sort of trick.

Interesting, although I doubt it's a trick on Shane's song. Somebody claimed that some sweep in one of his songs was synth, and he posted a clip of him playing it on his Carvin... 260 bpm, 16th notes, 5 string sweeps, ummm, it was insane.
