Satch is awesome.
I know, it's been done many times.
He will always be one of my heros though. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFf6Fv__9VI |

This is one of my favorite renditions of the national anthem. It's not over the top (like Zakk Wylde's version), and it's not boring, either. It's got just enough subtle nuances to keep me interested.
Of course, it's all a matter of taste. |

other than the fact that he reversed the lenghts of a lot of notes (short to long, long to short), I'd have to say that is the most wank-fest-free rendition I've seen in a long time.
Good stuff. ![]() ss.org's official most photoshopped member |

I agree with the oddly held notes. But it was still very good.
Why wasn't there a "WOOOOO!" from the crowd or a "PLAY BALL!" at the end though? |

I was born in San Fransisco (only because my father was stationed there in the Navy back in 1976 ). I haven't been there since, don't remember it but from what I have heard other than it being a 'gay' city, it is also one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. ![]() |

I like the last chord he ends on, but aside from that I thought his version was kind of mundane...

Yeah...that was not Satch's best. I think there was no "Whoooo Hoooo" at the end is because there was no sound except for the guitar. At the end they had subtitles for what he was saying. As far as his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner goes...Steve Vai's version at the Rock and Jock Diamond Derby was way better. The Grasshopper has taken the pebble from the teacher's hand.

Kudos to Satch for not being a dick by adding unnecessary wankery.
