The Red Chord Appreciation

I'm sure a lot of you guys have heard of The Red Chord. They brought out their most recent album "Fed Through the Teeth Machine" last year. Some quality shit, supposedly deathcore but I don't hear it... whatever, it's heavy, it's aggressive, what's not to like?

Clients is definitely my favourite album. I was on shuffle on my iPod and Blue Line Cretin came on and I remembered my love.

Yeah. I'm surprised more people on the board haven't piped up, I would have thought this is what a lot of people listen to. I was listening to it while reading George Eliot today; juxtaposition has never sounded so heavy.

agreed on clients being the best.

I also really like "hour of rats" on fed through the teeth machine. the melodic parts came out of nowhere and really surprised me

Awesome band all around, Fed Through The Teeth Machine took a few spins to grow on me but I really dig what they did on that album - especially Hour of Rats. Amazing live show too

Love this band!
We were supposed to play a show with them, but our drummer ruined his hand so we had to skip.

I love the "locomotive" chords they thrown in some of their songs. And also, Embarresment Legacy is a kick ass song.

It's such a pleasure listening to Red Chord because they are just robotically precise. Soooo clean. I definitely like Clients the best.

I love the Red Chord. I'm a New Yorker, and I drove up to Boston to see what these dudes were able to do live in their own home town. Crazy Shit. I definitely rate Clients the highest, because the drumming is so astonishing, but Fused Together is definitely a close second. I haven't spun the new album yet, so I'll have to check it out. Prey for Eyes was really stale in my opinion, so I hope they've improved their songwriting since then.

Buy an RG1527 and skip the bullshit.

I'm not sure why people are down on Prey for Eyes, it's what turned me on to them in the first place, especially 'Send the Death Storm'

I only listened to clients for the first time a few weeks ago, and I agree its pretty killer, although a little more straight forward than the last two albums. Lay the Tarp blows me away every time.

I agree with you... after listening to Dread Prevailed I almost jizz...

I'm currently listening to Clients for the first time in probably two years. I think they've become a little more formulaic in recent years, though i haven't given the newest disc a fair shake yet.

Also:
Greg: "Have I met you yet?"
Random dude: "...What's up?"
