The Clubhouse is located on the NE corner of Broadway and Dorsey (between Rural & McClintock), next to the Horse & Hound sports bar.

Soundcheck is at 6pm, I'll be on stage at 7pm, and I hope to see everyone there. Keep the music alive!

Thanks Chris, it should be fun. I'm not expecting much of a crowd there for such an early gig, but it'll be perfect for me to try out my new live setup. I'll try to get some pics done

As for the new live setup, it's nothing you guys don't already know about, it's just going to be my first time playing without a band. I'm playing along to backing tracks.

My rig is pretty simple:

2 7-string guitars
rack system & 2x12 cab
Controller footboard

I'll have my MP3 player hooked up to a little behringer mixer, then out to the club's mains.

That's the live rig. Nothing too fancy. Just new as in I've never used it before outside the studio.

Aw, you got my hopes up - I'm a total gear whore, and I thought maybe you'd grabbed a new amp or something, lol.

Hey Drew, good timing, I just logged in.

The gig was great. I got some decent video for you guys that I'll post later tonight or tomorrow. I was really surprised how well the show went, it was really fun and the people there were pretty into it. It was interesting because at first, everyone was saying things like "A guitarist? Just a guitarist? Where's the band?" and after the first 2 songs, people started getting up and coming forward to see and hear what I was doing. By about the 4th or 5th song, people were really cheering loudly, and it was pretty cool. The people there absolutely loved Song for Joe, that song went over very very well.Overall a good first gig. The parts of the songs where the double bass kicks in... man it was good to feel the stage shake like that.

Kinda a cool thing too, I was pulling out of my driveway when a FEDEX truck passed by. I stopped and got out, and the guy was delivering my new guitar, a gunmetal gray Ibanez S series 7 string. Suffice to say I took the guitar to my gig and used it as a backup guitar. Pretty cool
