Heavy Metal gets own genre section on iTunes!

I just opened up the iTunes store, and I found that the kind proprietors at Apple Inc. had seen fit to give us our own section! I might be reading into this too much, but if this isn't a sign of heavy metal's commercial resurgence, I don't know what is. That, or it's a sign of the apocalypse.

Suh-WEET! I understand that metal can technically be called a subgenre of rock, but that's like saying that jazz is a subgenre of blues, and the majority of jazz definitely does not resemble the blues, just as the majority of metal does not resemble the rock.

It certainly seems that metal is on the rise, but then again, being extended range players and so deeply consumed by the music, we kinda live in a bubble. Kinda like how bands are starting to employ 8 strings, we automatically assume they're gaining popularity, when in actuality, they make up like 2% of all guitar sales. Regardless, having a heavy metal section on itunes is a great, great thing
