All VHT's have incredible clean tones dude. The combos like the Pittbull 45 have the best clean tones on the planet, but since they lack a master volume, high-gain sounds are lacking. I'd recommend a head. The Pittbull series, Sig:X, Deliverance all have great cleans as well as high-gain sounds.

Oh cool you're in Boston? If you want you can PM me and I could give you some advice over the phone or whatever. I'm sort of the resident VHT expert here

well i figured like the pitbull cl's don't have a designated clean channel, rather 2 gain channels even if you can turn one down and get a decent clean. i have been looking into the pitbull 50/12... how is the gain on that? there is also a good deal on the cl if you think the cleans are decent. thanks!
