SOLD: Sennheiser EW172 G2 Instrument Wireless (with Rack Mount Kit)

This wireless unit is just over a year old. It has been gigged with for the past year, but taken care of very well. It never left a rack, and it was never left out in the heat, humidity, or cold. The body pack was always placed in my back pocket when I gigged with it. The construction of it is all metal, with the body pack having some plastic. I think I still have the protective plastic sheet over the screen of the rack unit as well. I have never had any problems with cut out or interference and I have played every where from a small bar to 5000 capacity venue. I am selling this because I just bought a X2 XDR95 wireless system.

I paid $499.99 brand new for this unit. The rack Mounting hard where and antenna extenders were around $96. I am selling this for $325 shipped to anywhere in the US.

I prefer paypal because its easy.

Side note:

I am extremely cautious and careful with my gear. I like to keep it as nice as possible. My other guitarist is not the same way. He has the same wireless unit, and he treated it a little rougher and it still worked great. Once he got pissed at a gig and chucked his body pack against the wall. The thing still worked great as usual.

Do you have any pics on how the pack attaches to the strap?

I never attached it to the strap, I always just kept it in my back pocket, so no. It has the typical clamp on the back of it. I personally would trust that alone to clip it to a strap. If I hooked it up to a strap I would buy one of those neoprene pouches for it.

This item is now up on Ebay....

Sennheiser EW172 G2 Instrument Wireles + Rackmount Kit - eBay (item 170197401847 end time Mar-04-08 20:36:47 PST)

However, if you want to purchase this item I will end the auction and sell it to you for my asking price.

Here are some pics of the actual unit that I took for ebay....

ya I've always been nervous on how to attach those packs.
I just purchased another cab, so I'll have to run some numbers to see if I can do this or not. Either way I added the auction to my watch list.

Actually, I just thought about what you said, and I think I know why the clip on it is designed the way it is. Visualizing it in my mind, its not just a clip, its a clip with extra metal wiring so you can feed it up into the clip and pull it back down. I never knew why it was like that, but you post made me sort of realize what that is for. I guess I never looked at it for that purpose because it was always easier to throw into my back pocket.

If I remember and have a chance later, I will try and take a pick. Not sure if it will work though because most of my straps are 3". I might have a 2" strap around still.

I might be willing to negotiate price depending on the offer. This is only a year old and in good condition, and since I paid around $600 for everything brand new I feel half plus shipping is a fair asking price. I rather sell it to someone privately on a forum than deal with ebay. This is my first item for sale on ebay and it scares me.

Sounds interesting, if you can get me a pic that shows it that would be nice...and now I have to go measure my straps.

I think half plus shipping is reasonable, and ya selling on ebay can be nervous the first time.
I'll try to let you know tonight/tomorrow morning.

Most guitar straps are 2" usually. 3" straps are usually intended for base, I just like them.
Come to think of it now, the levy's strap I have is 3" for half of it, then 2" for the other half where it connects to the strap button on the bottom of the guitar. I should be able to get a pic of that.

Do you know if you get negative feedback for ending an auction? I obviously never sell anything on there, so I don't know how much I care. I am 100% positive right now and would love to keep it that way though.

Then all my straps should be fine.

This is what I found on ebay's site

Ending Your Listing Early

From what I can tell you'd still have to pay the listing fees, but that would be it, unless they noticed a habit of you canceling

Also what brand/type of batteries have you been using to give you the most life?
