WTB: Ibanez Munky Bar (U Bar)

Anyone have one of those U-Bar thingies for the K-7 laying around? Or perhaps a source for them?

Try looking on Ibanez.com in the parts catalog. Find the whammy bars in the parts lists and get the product number then take the number to guitar center or and Ibanez dealer and ask them to order it. If you cant find the U-bar then try e-mailing Ibanez for the product number.

Do you know my name?

I don't think they can be ordered new. I think your only shot is to get one from someone with a k-7.

POOF!

I dont know, you should be able to at least e-mail Ibanez about it and see if they can send you the product number, but I've heard a few bad things about thier customer service so I dont really know, but in any case they really should let you order them new, there isnt any reason for them not to.

Reason I'd asked was because I have a RG7620 that is undergoing some... mods. I was going to do the whole "lefty" floyd trem mod, and slap a ubar on it, but with the tutorials I've read on the trem mod, it seems hard to do. Any suggestions?

It's not hard. I did it on one of my trems.

The thing you need to remember if you want to use a U-bar, is that you'll need two arm holders if you want it to be stable. When doing this however, there wont be room in the cavity for the second arm holder, you'll have to route some wood.

At least its only a little bit of wood, I'd say it wouldnt be a bad idea because there isnt much at risk if you screw up.
