Lordofchaos bloody murder OD pedal

this pedal is truely one of, if not the best purchase i have made in terms of my music.
i had had the pedal for a month or two now and was going to wait for my guitar to be finished to write a reveiw, but i thought now is as good a time as any.
the first thing i noticed about the bloody murder is honestly just how ....ing awesome it looks the second thing i noticed is how much better it sounds than looks!
i use mine mainly to boost the hi-gain channel of my 5150, and let me tell you; this thing does wonders. i did not honestly think it could make sure a positive differance to the amp, but was blown away by the depth it added to my tone.
having said that, the bloody murder is in NO way a one trick, balls to the walls, all metal stallion. on the clean channel of my amp, i was able to conjure some utterly sweet bluesy tones. by adding some reverb to the bm it is easy to acheive a glassy, cleamy overdrive, such of early santanna and right up to the swampjuice crunch of srv.
even using the BM on a clean channel with no other effects it is possible to get some really cool tones. it is such a versatile piece of equipment.
value for money was second to none, for a completely hand built pedal of this high quality, i was more than happy to pay $120 (aus).
while the build time was longer than first expected, joe constantly kept me up to date on the situation and the customer service was truely pleasent.
reliability: the thing is built like a brick shithouse! (for all of those unawear of aussie slang, that is tough). you can tell just by looking at it that it is going to be a reliable piece of gear.
the only thing that was not 100% was that the positioning of the circut board and 9v battery harness made it impossible to run it off 9V batterys. i dont really care though because i was always planning on running it off a adapter

to conclude; i recommend this pedal to anyone! it really is that ....ing good.
PERFECT for metal, and AWESOME for blues. if you are thinking about getting one, do it!
well i hope my review was helpfull
