Ibanez SH-7 Seventh Heaven
Turbo_Andy_
08-07-2007
Designed specifically for 7-string guitars with the input from some of Ibanez hottest 7-string players, the SH7 Seventh Heaven distortion pedal accentuates the low-end girth of the 7-string while reducing unwanted string noise. A special mode switch allows you to choose between two different distortion voicings while Lo, Hi, Drive, and Level knobs give you total tone control. An absolute must-have effect for replicating the best 7-string sounds of others or creating your own individual tones.

That is what is written on Ibanez' site. And it is the best distorition-pedal I've ever tried. It let me play all the low things I want to. It is just...

Which distortion pedals have you tried? Ever tried a Big Muff or Tube Screamer?

pedals ive tried

for a 7 string, ive not tried any yet. Im just beginning the research.

sounds like the TS7 is pretty good but which mod if any should you get?

I play metal but i want to hear the notes when i play lead on the 7

id like to be able to just use the Dime DD-11 for my 7, however i am trying to find someone else who plays metal and has a 7 string with Dime DD-11 distortion

Then i will ask their opinions on using it as a 7 string distortion

I mostly play metal but id like to have versatility if possible.

Ibanez DS7???

i could not resist this really sick deal on a DS7 pedal from ebay. $5 .....

I only use solid state on my amps for now and ive read this pedal is good for solid state amps. Sounding "WARM" is not something im really looking to do. Not at all knocking the ppl who do. several reviews said it was a very versitile pedal but was not as "metal" as most would like. That's ok for me cuz i have my DD11 for brutal distortion....

.im mostly looking at being able to add this for when i want to use my 7 string. Any thoughts???
I know ive read alot about ibanez pedals sucking.....save the TS7....but for 5 bucks....i figured its worth a shot.

Plus ive already watched the same pedal go for 3 times that on several other auctions on ebay since i won this pedal!!
