Yep I have paid for them, fucking paypal didn't miss me on the conversion rate that's for sure, these have cost me twice what the Dimarzios I was planning to buy would have, hope they are twice as good

Considering Used666 had them in an ApexII I an assuming they will sound the same in the 2027, from what he described I think they are just what I am looking for, whether they are worth twice the price of Dimarzios remains to be seen and is something that I am not qualified to determine anyway.

By the way what I was looking for was something like a EMG in a passive, I love the EMG's in my RG7EXFX2 except that the highs are a little harsh, I think EMG's in mahogany would be awesome, I considered getting Blackouts but I did not like the tone on Zimbloth's clip so I went back to the idea of getting Dimarzios, then these came up so I said what the hell. Yeah it was an expensive spur of the moment decision but it's not like I will have trouble selling them later. Now I have to get a new soldering iron my last functioning electric one died last time I used it and the one I use with the oxy for body filling is a little bit too big for this job

In my experience the BKP set that comes closest to EMGs would be his "Miracle Man" set. The Nailbombs, from what Tim told me, definitely have a more organic, less sterile tone than the Miracle Man. Just wanted to throw that out there... having played a few sets of BKPs now I don't think you're going to be disappointed with the Nailbombs, I'm looking forward to trying mine out in the Sherman 7.

I think you'll like them I do with mine, and really want to know what they're like in mahogony!

I don't think your being fair, yes the price was a tad on the high side but I checked out how much they would cost me new before I bought them, I have only saved $55 AUD from buying them new but that is including shipping and conversion rates. It's a saving, it is not a great saving but they are as new, in the original package as they came when he purchased them. Also as noted above the savings would have been much better if I lived in the states.

Like I said I agree the price was a tad high but how often do these come up for sale and any saving is better than no saving.

I have a Nailbomb in the bridge of my Carvin (all mahogany body /neck)
and it has really spoiled me. It's hard to describe, you just have to hear it,
it's got it's own personality (read my review).
Organic is one way to describe it, I love it , I ended up putting an Evo in the
bridge of my 7620 and I like it, but if the US dollar ever comes back up a Miracle man will be going right in that sucker.
I've turned into a real BK fan boy.

Nope. incorrect. Thats what it translates to before you specify its for the US. that price has VAT included, which isnt if you order to the US. New in the US they are about 312 for a matched set, or about 330 for 2 different pickups.

Oh well, but, in any case, you still pay less than what a new set in the UK costs, and in any case, even though they were expensive for me (like 3 times what I'd normally pay for a pickup) they were well worth it, and I am glad I forked out the cash. Seriously, after playing mine through my rig at full pelt again today after a break, it's like, wow, these things sound ace! load sof bite, but not in a harsh way, full sound, and the clean tones are literally to die for.
