Wah pedal recommendations

If you like a nice lower end on the heel position try the Hendrix Cry Baby. Its pretty cheap and is built like a tank.

Or the Zakk Wylde version. That is about the same thing other than the color and his name is on it. Oh yea and its twice the cost.

don't spend the extra money for a Hendrix wah. the only difference between a standard Crybaby and the Hendrix version is one little capacitor. if you have any electrical experience, even a little, you can mod a standard one into a Hendrix one.

i did it to mine, and it sounds great.

I've owned 3 wah-wah pedals by now and my favorite wah would have to be VOX. This one:

Every wah sounds slightly different and everyone has different taste on which ones are best, but in my personal opinion, that's the best wah wah pedal.

The 535Q is so versatile: you can dial in as many sounds as 15 wah pedals grouped together.

I'd have to say, the *best* choice is to actually buy a modded regular crybaby. The one I use was done by Gary Desjardens (I think I spelled his last name right). He does great work, and you can just send him a regular CryBaby and makes it true bypass, cleans up the circuitry, and adds internal trimmer pots so you can "tune it". He works through eBay, but he's reputable and my wah (which is his earlier, non-adjustable type) sounds fantastic - and I got it for $85 total.

That's the traditional spelling, I know, but for some reason I remember it being different. Have you bought anything from him, or just going on the "usual" spelling?

Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.
