Amp or guitar, amp or guitar... ARGH!!!

I'm in a real state right now trying to think what to go for. I've been saving up an Engl Fireball for a while now, and I think I'm just about there. Someone I know was selling his Fireball with matching V30 Engl Cab, and I can just about afford it, providing he still has it.

Unfortunately, there is also a rather "Once in a lifetime" chance of getting a Parker Fly Deluxe very, very cheap, and it's just in my pricerange. I doubt I could afford a new one, at least not for a very long time.

I really don't know what to do. I can't see me ever getting such a good deal on the Parker again, and I would absolutely love to buy it, but at the same time I really need the amp. I've still got my Mesa Boogie Nomad 45, because nobody around here is interested in buying it at all, I was hoping I could sell that and buy both the amp and guitar, but I don't know as I've been trying to sell it for a while. Anyone here interested in a Mesa Boogie Nomad 45?

Ah, I'm thinking I'll go for the Parker, but I really need the amp aswell. This is driving me mad!

Yes, I win! Pity there wasn't a decent amount of money at stake though. Oh well...

Why not buy the parker then resell it?

Well that kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? I want the guitar, so you're suggesting reselling it? To what end? I'd be without the guitar I want so badly then, and a deal like this is not likely to crop up again any time soon.

Like Shannon, said, grab the amp. A good halfstack like that will give you a strong and reliable foundation necessary to a performing rig. By the Engl, E-bay the amp. If you miss the Parker, that sucks, but you have guitars that fill your need.

I know the game he is playing. He's betting you can buy the Parker, flip it for more than you paid, and then buy the amp and have a heafty chunk of change left over. Then, once you sell the Nomad, you'll have all the money you need to get whatever Parker you want.

Actually, that would be the preforming rig, end of story. I don't use any effects at all, so it would be all I need.

I seriously doubt I could make anything from the Parker at all. I was hoping that I could make something from the Nomad, because the prices of Boogies this side of the world are nothing short of extortionate. As it is, I'm trying to sell it at a loss, and nobody is interested at all.

I'd never try to buy something second hand in order to make a profit, because I just don't think it'll work, and I'd never make enough back in order to buy a new one, so it's a pretty ridiculous idea in my opinion.

In Europe, a new Parker Fly Deluxe would cost €3000, the second hand one I have my eye on is going to cost a little over €1000. I have enough for the second hand one, so lets say that I do buy the Parker, and somehow I sell it for €2000, then I buy the Fireball, leaving me with around €800. If I ever manage to sell the Nomad, which I'm looking for €800 for, that leaves me with €1600, which isn't enough for a new Parker.

If I buy the Parker and keep it, then if the Nomad finally sells for €800, a little bit more saving and I'll have the Fireball & Cab.
