![]() | Another "Hey check out my rig" thread. ![]() I'd like to get a 2x12 extension cabinet and was wondering what you all would suggest. I am considering a matching cream bronco 2x12 closed back rectifier cabinet. |

The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

![]() ![]() | Damn, that's gorgeous. Very clean, too! I have to say that I don't really like Mesa cabinets that much besides in a studio setting. My Avatar 2x12 w/V30's cost me 200 and sounds better than my old Rivera K412T that retails for a grand new. |

A MXR dc brick power supply and the Kerry King version of the MXR 10 band EQ. It has 2 outputs which allows me to have the strobostomp going all the time. I haven't tried playing out of both of my amps at the same time but I assume it would sound pretty sweet. Another cabinet I am considering is the Genz Benz GB212G Flex. That looks like a pretty killer cabinet. I wish I had a place locally to try one but I don't so I have to rely on you guys for input. Is it any good?

You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Mesa 2x12 cab, especially if you're looking to keep an unified cosmetic thing, and with an amp that's just so tastefull looking as it is, I would recommend that. Rect-o-Verb 50 with a C-7 Hellraiser out front? Despite that amp's tame and elegant exterior, I have a feeling sheer brutality lurks below it's classic skin... You have good taste in gear. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |

![]() ![]() | Damn. Hellraiser and a Single Rect of sorts? Deja Vu! ![]() I find the Genz Benz to be rather... farty? Not farty, it's hard to describe. There's something about the low end that just isn't tight or aggressive enough for me. I find Mesa cabinets to be dark, muddy, and shrill at the same time, but sound amazing when recorded. I prefer Marshall style cabinets with V30's. |

I think I am leaning in this direction. Just for fun here is a pic of my drummers drums that also reside in my basement. It's a good thing my house is well insulated or my neighbors would be hating it. ![]()
